By downloading or using the Just Checking In app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms automatically. Please read them carefully before use. Unauthorized copying, modification, or use of the app, including trademarks, is strictly prohibited. Heraclius, LLC retains all rights not expressly granted to you. 

2. License to Use

Heraclius, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Just Checking In for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not extract the source code, translate, or create derivative versions of the app.

3. App Modifications and Fees

Heraclius, LLC reserves the right to modify or charge for any app services at any time. Changes will be communicated clearly to you before billing.

4. Data Handling

The Just Checking In app processes personal data provided by you to deliver our services. It is your responsibility to secure your device and data access. We advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, which can expose you to security risks and affect app functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. Please review their terms before you engage:

    You are responsible for maintaining an internet connection and data plan to use the app effectively. Heraclius, LLC is not liable for the app’s reduced functionality due to lack of internet access or data. Charges by your mobile provider are your responsibility, including data and roaming charges.

    7. Prohibited Uses

    You are prohibited from using the app for unlawful purposes, infringing on intellectual property, harassing or harming others, or engaging in fraudulent or malicious activities.

    8. Content and Liability Disclaimer

    Heraclius, LLC endeavors to update the app’s content and ensure its correctness through third-party information, which might not always be accurate. Heraclius, LLC is not liable for losses suffered by reliance on app functionality.

    9. App Updates and Termination

    The app requires periodic updates to maintain functionality with mobile operating systems. Heraclius, LLC may stop providing the app at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted will be revoked, and you must cease all use of the app.

    10. Mental Wellness and Health Considerations

    Heraclius, LLC aims to support mental wellness but is not a substitute for professional healthcare advice. You should consult healthcare providers for diagnoses or treatments. The app is designed to be a supportive tool, not a definitive medical resource.

    Just Check In, is a mobile application that notifies users with a Wellness DailyCheck-In, and sends a text alert to their emergency contacts if they have not ‘checked in.’ Our objective is to ensure that those living alone feel safe, while providing peace of mind also for those who care for them.  A simple reminder to connect with others can help you to remember that you are loved, cared for, and most importantly, not alone.
